EBRD forecast economy growth of 7% in Uzbekistan in 2012

  In the recent Report on Economic Prospects of the Region, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) noted a significant overall slowdown in 29 countries of EBRD operations from Central and Southern Europe to  Central Asia - an average of 4.8 percent in 2011 and 3.1 percent in 2012.
  The forecast rate of economic growth in Central Asia in 2012 increased from 6.6 percent (October, last year) to 7.0 percent.
  The report states that in 2011 Uzbekistan's economy has shown strong growth of 8.3%. EBRD experts estimate that in 2012, Uzbekistan's GDP growth will make 7%.
