President Signs Resolution on Celebration of Eid Ramadan

 

President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed a resolution on 16 August on celebrating Eid Ramadan holiday.

Considering that the first day of Eid Ramadan this year coincides with Sunday 19 August, the President’s resolution proclaimed 20 August will officially be a day off and continuation of the holiday 19 August.

The resolution states that the sacred Eid Ramadan holiday has a great importance in the spiritual life of the people and in preserving the national and spiritual values.

Nuroniy and Mahalla funds, as well as Kamolot youth movement and other departments and public organizations have been entrusted with organizing the events related to Eid Ramadan in all regions of the country on a high level and in accordance with national values of the Uzbek people
