Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan signed a cooperation program

      On September 6 started the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov to Astana at the invitation of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.

     The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Kazykhanov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met in the framework of the visit.

     The sides discussed the current state and future directions of bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, issues of cooperation in the framework of international organizations, and exchanged views on the current situation in Central Asia, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

     Following the meeting, the ministers signed a program of cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2012-2014.
