Did the student graduate? Where will he get a job? For many years, providing employment for both young people who graduated from higher education institutions and young men and women who couldn't get into universities in general has been a serious problem.
In the process of renewal in all spheres of our country's life, at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, it was possible to create a reliable and practical system for ensuring youth employment.
Unprecedented initiatives are being put forward to ensure the employment of young people, their career guidance in accordance with the requirements of the labor market, and direct dialogue with employers.
Exhibitions such as "Student EXPO - 2025" are of great importance in achieving these goals. Recently, the "Student EXPO-2025" exhibition-fair for young people was successfully held in Tashkent and Samarkand region, which became a necessary platform for thousands of young people to find employment, implement their scientific, innovative, and business projects, and familiarize themselves with the capabilities of enterprises, organizations, and production facilities with high potential.
The professional exhibition "Student EXPO - 2025," organized in Fergana, was held in such a practical, useful, and high-spirited atmosphere.
It should be noted that this event was organized by the joint-stock company "National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of the Republic of Uzbekistan," the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the khokimiyat of Fergana region.
Large employers from various regions of the region, as well as graduates of educational institutions, took part in it.
It is worth noting that, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 14, 2025, "On Additional Measures to Assist in the Employment of Graduates of Higher Educational Institutions," joint-stock company "Uzmilliybank" and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation are carrying out comprehensive practical work to ensure youth employment, strengthen the integration of graduates of higher educational institutions into the labor market, and improve the personnel training process with the participation of the private sector and commercial banks. In this regard, the importance of the "Step to the Future" centers organized locally deserves attention. This is due to the fact that the practice of holding open competitions among graduating and lower-level students of higher educational institutions in various fields and assisting in the employment of winners, identifying the needs of potential employers, including large enterprises, for specialists with higher education and forming requirements for specialists, and accompanying advanced students in bringing their business ideas to ready-made projects is being established.
According to Behruz Ostonov, a specialist at the "Step to the Future" center, during this exhibition, participating young people had the opportunity to have direct conversations with employer organizations and present their resumes and projects.
In particular, Javokhir Botirov also participated in the event with his own development.
- The scientific development I created is of particular importance in ensuring the use of renewable energy in the development of agriculture, - says Javokhir Botirov, a master's student at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of Fergana State University. - This event, intended for us - young people, was significant because it allowed me to bring my project to the attention of the general public.
During the "Student EXPO - 2025" professional exhibition, specialists also conducted master classes, and professional consultations during the seminars played an important role in providing young people with new knowledge and skills.
During the event, which served to support the initiatives and ideas of graduates, a presentation of business projects of graduates of higher educational institutions was also held together with the "Step to the Future" center.
More than 2,000 vacancies were presented at the exhibition by more than 300 employing companies. 9 higher educational institutions presented their stands. More than 16 thousand graduates took part in the event, and jobs were created for 1,732 of them. Business projects of 187 young researchers were presented and directed towards entrepreneurship.
In a word, such projects have acquired relevance due to their social significance, opening up new opportunities for ensuring harmony between education, development, science and business, and providing practical assistance in the employment of young people.
